There is something truly special about a DIY wedding, the way people come together to celebrate and contribute their time and effort towards a helping a couple achieve their dream wedding day is really what life is all about.

Sophie and William married at the rustic yet luxury woodland wedding venue, The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall, just outside of Market Harborough in September 2024, on a typical British weather day and by that I mean both sunny and rainy!

Childhood sweethearts Ellie and Connor married at Loughborough wedding venue, Sutton Bonington Hall, in September 2024, and it was my absolute privilege to film their wedding day for them at this lovely country house wedding venue.

Abby and Rhys got married in front of family and friends at the gorgeous Mythe Barn, an exclusive use luxury wedding venue in Atherstone, on the Leicestershire and Warwickshire borders. These two had the perfect day, both getting ready ready in the stunning contemporary yet traditional rooms at this barn wedding venue.

Some weddings are extra special. And this was one of them.

Kayla and Jack’s American-English wedding set in the most beautiful setting of East Midlands luxury wedding venue Kilworth House, was an absolutely incredible day, bringing together the loveliest set of friends and family from across the globe.

Alice and Jonny’s wedding was both luxurious and heartfelt, with this lovely couple tying the knot in a traditional ceremony at St Nicholas Church, in Stanford-upon-Avon in Northampton, followed by their wedding reception at Kilworth House Hotel in Lutterworth, in rural Leicestershire.

Hannah and Dale married at the beautiful Leicestershire wedding venue Shearsby Bath in Lutterworth in August 2023 and what an amazing day it was!

Jess and Alex held their beautiful wedding day at Leicestershire wedding venue Shearsby Bath in July 2022, but had been on a journey to say the least!

Hannah and Graham’s gorgeous Woodlands Wedding ceremony at Leicestershire wedding venue, The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall, was a dream for me as a wedding videographer. With an absolutely stunning woodlands ceremony space, this forest wedding ceremony venue has it all including a wedding reception tipi, beautiful grounds with prep rooms, and a feel of rustic luxury.

Beth and Simon held their modern wedding with Swedish traditions at St Michael & All Angels Church in Markfield, Leicester, and was followed by a wedding reception at the stunning Carriage Hall in Plumtree, Nottingham.

Aislinn and Carlos held their wedding at St John the Baptist Church in Beeston, followed by a gorgeous reception at Loughborough wedding venue, Prestwold Hall, a stunning country house in the heart of Leicestershire. This venue is one of my favourites, partly because of the grand beauty of the hall itself, and partly because of its ethical credentials.

In January I was invited to be part of the touching wedding vow renewal ceremony styled shoot of Lilian and Doug at Bedfordshier wedding venue Clophill Eco Lodges, organised by the lovely Hannah at Green Soul Weddings, an eco conscious wedding planner for couples planning more sustainable weddings. Hannah brought together a fantastic and friendly group of eco friendly wedding suppliers and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any of them. It was so good to be part of a group with a shared ethical outlook.

In July I had the privilege of filming Joanne and Jack's wedding video at Bridge House Barn and its weddings like these that absolutely make our day as wedding videographers. Covid meant that proceedings were delayed for a year and thankfully this laid back pair managed to joyously sidestep the restrictions and enjoy their day in 2021 after all!
